Invitations is a delightful story about parties and celebrations. The book is cleverly constructed to reveal the events of a birthday party and the celebration of a Posada. Various clues are provided on the pages preceding each event which encourage children to develop an awareness of details in the text and illustrations in order to successfully predict the event to which they are invited. Also included within the story is the song "Las Mañanitas" and a reminder to always say "Thank You".
